Cristiano Ronaldo reached yet another historic milestone on Saturday, scoring his 100th goal for Al Nassr in the Saudi Super Cup final.
The 40-year-old forward became the first player in history to net at least 100 goals for four different clubs, in addition to his remarkable tally with Portugal:
- 450 goals with Real Madrid
- 145 with Manchester United
- 101 with Juventus
- 100 with Al Nassr
- Plus 138 goals with Portugal, bringing his career total to 939.
Despite Ronaldo’s goal, Al Nassr fell short against Al Ahli, losing on penalties after a dramatic 2-2 draw. Goals from Roger Ibáñez and Frank Kessié forced the shootout, where Eduard Mendy’s crucial save on Abdullah Al Khairabi sealed victory for Al Ahli.
The defeat was a bitter blow for Ronaldo, who left the field visibly in tears, still chasing his first trophy in Saudi Arabia. To add insult, rival fans taunted him with chants of “Messi, Messi” during the medal ceremony — a reminder of the eternal rivalry that follows the Portuguese icon.
Still, Ronaldo’s record-breaking night reinforces his legendary status as he continues to edge closer to the 1000-goal mark in his career.
