Luka Jovic is facing a tough time at AC Milan following the arrival of Álvaro Morata. The Serbian striker has been unable to make a significant impact with the Rossoneri, and his situation has worsened with the Spanish forward now in the team.

Jovic has been dealing with persistent physical issues, limiting his ability to play full matches. Serbian national team coach Dragan Stojkovic confirmed this by stating, “I don’t know if he can play for 90 minutes.” However, there is still hope that Jovic can regain his form.

Morata’s arrival has not made things easier for Jovic. Despite Morata also struggling with fitness, he has managed to score two goals and provide one assist in seven appearances. This has further sidelined Jovic, who joined Milan in the summer of 2023.

Last season, Jovic managed 9 goals and 2 assists in just over 1,200 minutes of play, but injuries and a lack of trust from coach Paulo Fonseca have limited him to only 78 minutes as a substitute in three games this season, with no goals or assists.

Jovic’s recent performances for Serbia have been underwhelming, missing key chances against Spain and Switzerland. With his market value plummeting from €60 million at the height of his career to just €7 million, according to Transfermarkt, his future at Milan looks increasingly uncertain.

The coming months will be crucial to see whether Jovic can turn things around at Milan or if a move to another club will be necessary to revive his career.
